Meet Your Attorney, Marcus T. Olds
Marcus T. Olds : I’ve been an attorney with David K. & Associates since 2013, and I am proud to stand beside an attorney who believes that a strong firm need not be a big firm, and that serving others is the most satisfying thing you can do with your life.
One of the unique aspects of our firm is that we view our job as a calling, and not simply a way to make a living. The legal professional often gets a bad rap, rightfully so in some cases, because there are lawyers out there who just want to make as much money as they can, irrespective of what corners they have to cut to achieve that goal.
The very fact that our firm is deliberately small is confirmation that we don’t believe that the size of a law firm determines the quality of service it provides. We really do believe in the credo of ‘small firm, big results,’ and by remaining small, we are able to give each client our full attention, care, and respect.
I’m originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, where I obtained an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from Harding University. I then attended Western Michigan University and earned my law degree at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. I moved to Texas and began working in the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office for several years. Then, in 2013 I joined David K. Wilson & Associates, because I wanted to continue fighting for victims and underdogs.
For the past four years I have had the honor and privilege of representing a diverse group of clients, and the one thing that remains most important to me is having a strong faith in the concept of justice, but more importantly, having strong faith in Jesus Christ. Can you be a Christian and a successful attorney? Yes, you can, if you apply the principles of Jesus Christ, which was to esteem others more than yourself. That means putting the needs of others before your own needs, which is what our firm does when we represent accident victims.
When you have suffered injuries or a significant loss, what do you need in a law firm? I think you need a firm that treats you the way it would treat members of its own family. A firm that answers the phone when you call, keeps you updated about every element of your case, and takes care of the little things that go awry after an accident. Because it’s the little things, like making sure you have a ride to your physical therapy appointment, that can make such a huge difference during these difficult times.
So why should you hire this small firm? Because we can show you our track record of obtaining six-figure and seven-figure recoveries in claims against big, well-funded insurance companies. Whether you have just been arrested on a DWI charge or another type of felony, or you have been injured in a car accident and don’t know what to do, we can help.
